One Crater, Two Colors

Polly looked down into a huge crater. It was very old and very big. It held two lakes. A strip of land crossed the middle. One lake was blue. The other lake was green.

The two lakes are joined under the land. But they look different. The blue lake is deep and shows the sky. The green lake is near plants, so it looks green.

Polly flew low over the strip of land. She saw boats on one side. She saw cows on the other side. Fog came in and covered the lakes.

She waited on an old wall. The fog went away. Both lakes were still there, blue and green.
