Harper jogs back across the light-bridge, lagoon glittering below like calm, square glass. Up the glowing ladder. Down into the sky base’s lower level. The build table waits, humming softly.
Harper drops the pillow on the edge like a sidekick and leans in. “Okay, Island. Time for cozy upgrades.”
TAP. TAP. TAP. Harper spins a few gentle icons: tiny chairs, books, warm lights. On the floating model, a porch swing appears, then a pair of lanterns by the dock, then a little line of blocky cushions around a firepit that only glows—no flames, just soft, pixel warmth.
Outside the window, the real island copies every change. The porch swing sways. The dock lanterns blink on. The glow-pit shimmers beside the lagoon. Harper smiles, shoulders relaxing. “Yeah,” Harper murmurs. “This feels like a place to stay for a while.”
