Este es el Lago Enriquillo. Es el lago más grande del Caribe. Está más abajo que el mar. Los ríos entran en el lago, pero no sale nada. El sol se lleva el agua. La sal se queda. Por eso el lago es muy salado.
Hace mucho tiempo, este valle era parte del mar. En las rocas secas cerca del agua hay coral antiguo. También hay conchas, muy lejos de cualquier playa.
