Dann sprang ein Gnu hinein. Alle anderen folgten. Das Wasser spritzte überall. Polly flog tief über ihre Rücken. Ihre Brille wurde nass.

Nicht alle Tiere schafften es. Der Fluss nahm sich ein paar. Polly schaute von einem Baum aus zu. So funktioniert der Fluss. Es war immer schon so.

Am Abend war es vorbei. Die nassen Tiere fraßen wieder Gras. Der Fluss war ruhig. Polly schaute zu den Sternen.
