Keep it on your phone โA man was opening his shop in a small town in Cornwall, in the south west of England, early in the morning. He looked up the street and saw an animal coming towards him. At first he thought it was a dog. It was not a dog. It was a wallaby.
A wallaby is a small kangaroo. It comes from Australia. It does not live wild in England. He filmed it on his phone, and the video went around the world in a day.
The police came. The animal charity came. Nobody could catch it. People have seen it again since then, in gardens, near a school field, crossing roads at night. And here is the strange part: no zoo and no farm has said that it is missing. So nobody knows where this animal came from, and for now it is still out there, eating English grass a very long way from home.
