The Cliff Above Her

Polly goes further down the steps. Then she sees something strange. There is not much sky now. She looks up. The cliff hangs out over her head.

The sea made this. Waves hit the bottom of the cliff. They take the rock away. Then the rock above has nothing under it. There are big caves down there too.

On the rocks below there are dark green birds. They hold their wings open to dry them in the wind.

One bird falls off the rock into the sea. It makes almost no splash. Polly waits. The bird comes up far away. It has a fish.
