The Old Wall

Today Polly visits the wall. It climbs up the mountain like big stairs. It has many towers. Berta stays at home.

The wall is more than a thousand years old. A family called the Banu Razin built it. The town has their name.

Polly flies to the tower at the top. She meets a big owl there. He sleeps in the day. He works at night.

From the tower the town looks tiny. The pink roofs sit inside the river loop. Polly watches for a long time. Then she says thank you to the wall.
