The Pink Town

Polly flies over a river in Spain. The river makes a big loop, like an arm. Inside the loop there is a small town. All the houses are pink.

The town is called Albarracín. About a thousand people live here. The streets are very narrow. A long stone wall climbs up the mountain behind the houses.

Polly lands in a tiny square. There is a small fountain. She smells fresh bread from a door. Far away she hears a sheep bell.

The sun goes down. The lamps come on. The pink walls look warm and soft. Polly sits by the fountain. The little town goes to sleep.
